    Declared a National Park in 1949, included in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage in 1979. Area 296.8 square kilometres, 16 lakes, the largest lakes Kozjak and Prošće, the main attraction is a large waterfall 78 m, the largest in the Republic of Croatia.

    16 stunning lakes linked by powerful cascading waterfalls surrounded by forests of rich fauna. Three large beasts live here: bear, wolf and lynx.
